SHIRLY LAUB
Studies violin at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels in the class of Clemens Quatacker and then in Utrecht with Viktor Liberman and Philipe Hirschhorn. From 1998 to 2005 she was one of the concertmasters of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London. As such she is regularly invited to various orchestras in Europe and Asia. She is also active as a chamber musician – she is first violinist with the Oxalys Ensemble – and thus performs on the most prestigious international concert stages.
Shirly Laub is a violin teacher at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles and is a permanent jury member of the Queen Elisabeth Competition.
