SHIRLY LAUB

Trained at the Koninklijk Muziekconservatorium in Brussels with Clemens Quatacker, Shirly Laub then perfected her skills in Utrecht with Wiktor Liberman and Philippe Hirshhorn.​

Winner of the title of “Young Soloist of the French-speaking Public Radio Stations” and the Juventus Prize of the Council of Europe, she pursues a dual career as a chamber musician and teacher, performing in major concert halls around the world (Wigmore Hall, Konzerthaus Berlin, Teatro Colón, Library of Congress, etc.).

Principal violinist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London from 1998 to 2005, she is regularly invited to perform as first violinist with prestigious ensembles, notably at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.
Professor of violin at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels since 2003, she is also first violinist with the Oxalys ensemble.
